This was one of my first weddings of the year and what a great way to start off! It also happened to be my birthday and I had a blast seeing in my 26th year on the dance floor with this fun group.
The day started at the bride’s beautiful home, where preparations for the reception were taking place. The bride’s mum created all the flower arrangements herself and the garden marquee was filled with beautiful pink, yellow, white and green flowers. The bride and groom both met during the Olympics in 2012, so each table had a fun Olympic sport theme, such as ‘hurdles’, ‘triple jump’ etc…
The ceremony took place in the Lady Chapel at St Alban’s Abbey, I had never been to this venue before and was totally blown away by the stunning windows and light. We then made our way to the Vintry Gardens for the group and confetti photographs before heading back home for the reception and party.
After some fantastic food and touching speeches, the marquee was cleared to make room for the dance floor. Sometimes it can take a while for people to get going but this party were not shy of getting straight up and pulling some brilliant moves on the floor. As the evening came to a close, everyone came outside to see the bride and groom off with their sparkling departure.
